What is Person-Centred Therapy ?
My approach is based firmly around the teachings of Carl Rogers in which he views fundamentally that the client is the expert on themselves and possess all the tools to self-heal, grow and develop.
This is achieved by creating an environment in which the core conditions of empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence facilitate a therapeutic change.
What this means in reality is that I offer a safe space to my clients to relax and reflect, speak openly without fear of judgment and explore the deep meaning behind your feelings in order to achieve psychological growth whether you are feeling anxious, depressed, burnt out, low self-esteem or carrying grief and trauma.
Person-centred therapy provides an environment for you to reappraise and reevaluate your thoughts, feelings, actions, values and strengths, so that you can understand what is causing your discomfort in your own way, in your own time with the goal of unlocking your potential, and overcome your difficulties.

We cannot change, we cannot move away from what we are, until we thoroughly accept what we are. Then change seems to come about almost unnoticed
